Congratulations to our Newest Black Belts

This past Saturday, January 14, nine of our Deputy Belts tested and were promoted to 1st Degree Black Belt along with one person being promoted to 2nd Degree Black Belt. The newest 1st Degree Black Belts black belts are: Rahul Iyer, Laith Almashat, Seth Whiteaker, Jack Goedecke, Ricky Jones, Sara Catalina Pettit, Giovanny Crystofer Martinez, Alejandra Frank, and Jonathan Rogas. Aaron Frank is our newest 2nd Degree Black Belt. The testing was long and difficult but everyone did an awesome job! I could not be more proud or honored to elevate you all to your new, deserved, levels.

Testing- November 12

Testing will be on Saturday November 12th. Be sure to practice your poomsae, breaking techniques, self-defense (falls and rolls), and sparring too for the advanced belts. Times will be posted as we get closer to testing day!

CA Open TKD Tournament

Women’s Self Defense Seminar – Aug. 6th

Saturday August 6 we will be doing another self-defense seminar for women. This is open to anyone (not just AHTKD students) and will cover practical, applicable self defense that will apply to real life situations. The seminar will go from 12:30 – 2:30 and will cost $25. See Master D to register.

This past Saturday, July 9th, Gauri Iyer, Janice Neeson, Alex Davani, Connor Degn and Sean Ryan all tested for and earned their 1st degree black belts. They all did a fantastic job and made everyone at AHTKD very proud. Congratulations and great job everyone!

Photo Day – Saturday May 14th

Adrian Erwin photography will be at the school this Saturday to take photos of any students who are interested. There is no fee for the sitting, only if you decide to purchase a package. If enough people are interested then we will have a plaque made with all the photos to hang in the school! Sign-up at the school while space is still available!

Testing and Picnic a huge success !!

On Saturday May 7th, AHTKD had our testing followed by the annual picnic in the park. Both events were an enormous success with everyone doing a great job with their testing and then having a great time playing and eating in the park! Thank you all for making it such a fantastic day!!
